The Witcher looked at Sand in confusion, it seems he didn't fully understand what she meant.
He then looked at the factory drawing, then rose his eyes in slight confusion, as if acknowledging the drawing and telling you to go on. He seems unsure what you meant.
Finally he looked at the dagger, now stuck in the table, piercing Kathy's picture, then at Rogue's drawing, with the monster attacking villagers and burning houses and then nodded, very very firmly.
Tom sighed:
"....we need to be very careful about trusting this man" he quietly said: "We've already been burned once" he fell into thought:
"Axis and the Witcher. At least one of them played us. Until we have more information, we cannot fully trust either of them.
Just like Axis, the Witcher can be lying. Twisting the facts to fit his own personal agenda. We need to be very careful."
Harlequin sighed and looked at Rogue: "...unfortunately.. I think we did get the memo.
34 days of mental breakdowns and loss of magic around the world...
If I had to guess, the global mobilization was issued due to the exacerbation of the problem. And if I had to guess further...
It is because Equestria, the last safe haven... has just been targeted... or will become a target, very very soon"
Toms cellphone suddenly rang. He jumped and immediately began fumbling with it:
"Its... ITS AMY! I'm putting her on speaker! Hold on!"
Nervously fumbling with the buttons he answered the call: "AMY! ARE YOU OKAY?! CAN YOU HEAR ME?"
You heard Amy weakly cough on the other end of the line:
"Yes... I'm... I think I'll be fine...
Tom... everyone... listen to me. Axis can use magic."
She coughed again, catching her breath:
"As soon as we landed in the adjacent city, she hit me with some kind of spell.
I felt like... like all the energy in my body... was suddenly sucked out. I felt numb and fell on the floor.
She did the same to the pilot.
Just before I passed out, she knelt next to me and said...
She said she was sorry.
Sorry about misleading us. She said she's just a refugee from a different world, seeking asylum from a genocidal killer.
She made herself seem important, so we'd protect her from the Witcher.
Her fate had nothing to do with the disappearance of magic. Whether she lived or died, didn't matter.
The mental breakdowns, the disappearance of magic, its all caused by the pillars. It had nothing to do with Axis. Her life or death, wouldn't change anything"
"...I'm sorry, did you just say.. Pillars?... in plural?" Harlequin quietly asked.
"Axis said there's pillars like that in every corner of our world. If we look for them, we'll find them. They are causing the mental breakdowns and loss of our magic." Amy continued:
"A new pillar appears every four days...
And the Tesian pillar appeared exactly four days ago...
Equestria is the last safe haven right now... you know where this is going..."
"...our children..." Halrequin became grim: "Amy, where is Axis now?"
"I don't know" Amy sighed: "Me and the pilot were left unconscious for god knows how long. Axis is in the wind. She could be anywhere"
Harlequin grimly looked at everyone in the room:
"...listen to me...
I know everyone is tempted to stay in Tesia and correct our mistakes. Believe me, I am too. But we have to concentrate on the global threat.
The Union Council would only mobilize the worlds military, in an event that would threaten all life on the planet.
We have to follow their instructions. Head to our designated staging area and await further orders. Whatevers happening in the world, we'll be briefed there.
As for Axis and the Witcher...
Others will have to pick up, where we left off. The linguistics experts will talk to the Witcher, gain any info they can, decipher his language.
And the Tesian police will search for Axis.
As for us... we have an obligation to focus on the largest picture.
The threat to our entire world, is not something we can take lightly. We must go to our designated staging area.
I have a feeling things will become clearer there.
