Witchers of Nifelheim - Part 6

Rain smiles wide at the witcher, 'Nope. He's very far gone. But i just want to gleem the froth off this mystery before I present it to the party. A more justifiable cause for suspicions. As if a level 3+ shield isn't enough of an alert that something is up already. If I dont find anything I'll just present that he's there, and charge a spell for the night just in case.' She explains to Squiggles.

Rain nods seemingly very invested, "mmm... woooow." She says with somewhat half baked admiration, "Say... what can you tell me about that young merchant over there by the fire. Are you with his caravan? Did he set up this campground?"

"Who?" The Witcher drunkenly squinted at the young merchant in the distance, then waved it off:
"Naaah, he's with our caravan! Yohoho!" He released a hardly laugh, holding his sides:

"Dunno much about him, truth be told. Quiet guy, keeps to himself mostly, stumbled into our caravan about... two nights ago? Says he's some fancy pants merchant from down south, heading to Rakshata and so on." The Witcher shrugged "Well, its true what they say, safety in numbers! And we got food a plenty. No reason to leave him alone in the cold."

He looked at you "You fellas can stay with us too, of course, goes without saying, us Nifelheim folk gotta stick togethar!.... ARRRRRRR!" He clenched his fist and made some sort of pirate noise, holding one eye shut, prompting Squiggles to slowly back away, in the depths of your mind, then burst into uncontrollable laughter.

Rain gives a hearty laugh, "Yes, yes... I believe this party may take all night." She cocks her head slightly, "You say he stumbled in? Like... he was alone?" She raises a questioning brow, "He didn't have his own caravan?"

"No uhhh... no he didn't." The Witcher paused, seemingly pondering on this himself, in a rare moment of sobriety:
"It struck me as a little strange, truth be told." he looked at you, with one eye closed: "Not many humans would brave the wilds alone, without a Witcher escort to boot."

His drunken expression became a bit serious, just a bit: "...the only humans who travel alone, are either desperate, insane, or suicidal..." he looked sideways at the young merchant:

"And that man don't look crazy OR suicidal to me. He ain't none of those things. Waaay too laid back, too calm." he shook his head "I don't know what, but something's going on with him. He keeps to himself and don't bother us, so we don't bother him none. Best keep your distance, if I was you." he loudly spit on the ground.

"Thats about what I figured. Thanks for answering my questions." She raises back to her feet and just as shes just about to leave she stops, "I think we were in the same battle!" She smiles at him, "Big ass parasite? On the ships heading to mainland? You seem like the sort that was there!" She chuckles slapping a hand on his shoulder, "You be careful out here big guy, and you have a nice rest of your night." She pats him again as she leaves.

'A human approaches a caravan 2 days ago claiming he's a rich merchant heading up north to "The Rak". He has no caravan leading him in that instance, and his confindence suggests he never did. He's shielded with a level 3+ shield spell, with no obvious witcher who cast it. Yep things are defintely off. This man, is a certified sussy baka.'

She quitely makes her way to Bastila, "Can I barrow you for a minute?" She says facing away from the caravan, meeting her with a very serious gaze.

She quitely leads Bastila out of earshot, and out of hightened senses range. She stares at the camp a moment, "That young merchant in the center is not who he seems. He has a level 3+ shield spell dispite there being no witchers in the area to cast such a thing, he's like a big black hole in my heat vision. After a short questioning to that witcher over there, although drunk, claims he had no caravan, and no witcher escort when he arrived. That would be all well and good... if it weren't for his attitude about the whole thing..." She raises a brow at bastile, "See where im goin' with this?"
